Web Designer Bio

My interest in web development began during my sophomore year of college. After taking a couple of elective courses centered around computer animation and web design, I was hooked! My first major web design project was to develop and maintain my sorority's first informational web site.
In those days, job opportunities in web design were few and far between, so I graduated with a degree in Accounting followed by a General MBA. Upon graduation, I worked for a privately held grocery chain and later moved on to help my mother expand her human development company. I continue to manage her company web sites to this day.

Certification
I relocated to Las Vegas, NV in 2006 and within weeks of arriving in Vegas, a catalog from the local university arrived in the mail offering information about a web design certification program. That's when I jumped at the opportunity to expand my horizons and obtain formal web design training. After a year of in-class instruction, I successfully completed UNLV's Internet Design & Technology Certificate Program.
Personal Journey
It's taken several years for me to find the courage to pursue web development full-time, but the journey has brought its own rewards. Over time, I've had the privilege to work in many small business environments, which has proven to be quite useful in running my own business today.
Aside from web development, I love to do Yoga, hike, travel, read historical fiction, and try new restaurants. I also enjoy precious moments spent with family, friends, and my little dog, Odie. ![]()
